About Tamela Hedström

Tamela Hedström is a versatile musician and composer, known for her innovative contributions to the tropical soul genre, which earned her recognition in the Latin music industry. Her exceptional talent as a songwriter led her to receive a double nomination for the Latin Grammy, and she was honored with the ACAM Music Award in Costa Rica.

Tamela's commitment to her art has led her to open concerts for renowned international Latin artists such as Chayanne, Calle 13, Sin Bandera, Rosana, Bosé, and Fonseca. Additionally, she has shared the stage with the legendary Gilberto Santa Rosa.

Her captivating performances have graced festivals worldwide, including in China, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and the United States. Tamela's concert tours have spanned Costa Rica and Central America, captivating audiences with her moving music.

Beyond her musical achievements, Tamela has also made a mark in television, hosting three shows and participating as a contestant on popular programs such as Swedish Idol and Your Face Sounds Familiar. She also gave an inspiring TedX talk, sharing her journey, including her recovery from a serious car accident.

Tamela's thirst for knowledge and growth is evident in her academic achievements, having graduated as a Digital Business Developer from Hyper Island in Sweden. This institution is a leader in digital media education, innovation, and leadership in Scandinavia.
